Como Maalifushi - Partner Travels Free for 7 Nights or More

My partner and I visited Como Maalifushi for a 10-night stay in what turned out to be the best holiday we have been on. From arrival to departure the service was simply exquisite. It all starts with the Como greet at Male airport whereby you are whisked off to the lounge at the seaplane terminal ahead of your flight across to the resort. The flight itself is an experience and offers amazing views of the maldives and all the various atoll’s. Upon landing at the remote Thaa Atoll you are greeted by wonderful staff who take you by boat to the resort. There we met by the friendly resort manager and our amazing butler Citti, who took us by Golf Cart to our water Suite (416), which is great for that impressive Maldivian sunset view. Citti was a true stand out, she was amazing throughout, always on hand, but never over-bearing and very sweet. She even gave us a few little surprises, which were very thoughtful. By far and away the best butler experience we have ever had. The overwater suite was understated luxury, very spacious (huge bathroom with large rain showers and a tub) with all the amenities you could wish for. The pool deck welcomed you into the lagoon whereby each day we saw various sea-life ranging from fish, turtles, rays and small reef sharks. We collected snorkelling equipment from the dive shop which we were able to keep throughout our stay to explore the wonderful house reef, beaming with marine life. We also kayak’d to the neighbouring small island owned by Como for a little exploration. The food was simply amazing. At Madi the menu is extensive, well balanced and rotated every few days for variety. Tai was a great place for sundowners ahead of a great dinner with Japanese / sushi twist. The Chef’s come out to say hello too, and are clearly very passionate about what they do. I am Gluten Free (Coeliac) and they catered for this perfectly, pretty much being able to adjust every item on the menu and even surprising me with thoughtful gluten free options too! Gluten free pancakes and waffles were a staple for me at breakfast. I cannot speak highly enough of the service and staff throughout the resort from start to finish. Special mention for Naail, Zulaal and Anne who catered for us most breakfasts, lunches and dinners with the greatest of smiles on their faces and impeccable service. There was often live music in Thila bar which added to the laid back, relaxed atmosphere. Activities wise we would highly recommend the dolphin sunset cruise, jungle cinema, Photo Shoot and of course a massage at the Shambala Spa. The spa lives up to its reputation and the dolphin sunset cruise was truly breathtaking. We must have seen in excess of 50 dolphins approach the boat and conduct acrobatics in front of us as the sun set. Fishing / diving / waterport equipment is top-notch and the staff are very knowedlgable on all things diving, fishing, and the ocean. We came to Como Maalifushi on December 21st for a Family holiday. We stayed for fourteen nights in three beach villas. There were nine of us, six adults, an eleven year old, an eight year old, and a one year old. We have had the most fabulous of holidays, Como Maalifushi you have not disappointed us. Everything from the start to the finish has been wonderful. The Christmas Eve, and New Years Eve Gala Dinners were outstanding. It was the best New Years Eve of my life. The hampers and gifts we have received during our stay were a very generous touch and we thank you for those. The staff are exceptional, very friendly and helpful, always going above and beyond, I can’t name you all because you are all exceptional but a special thanks goes to our butler Jalil, who took good care of us every step of our holiday. We thank you Team Como Maalifushi for a very special holiday as we return home with very special memories made that we will treasure forever.

We spent 9 nights at Como over Christmas and our children’s 8th birthday and we were blown away. So much time and effort had gone into making the Christmas festivities truly incredible - amazing lights, fabulous food, entertainment, sunset cocktails, Father Christmas arriving by boat and gifts for the children and hampers in our rooms. They also went out of their way to make our children’s birthday one to remember. The snorkelling trip to see turtles and the splash net dolphins expedition are well worth doing! A special mention to Jessica who looked after us so well and to all the staff who made our stay incredibly memorable. It was without doubt the BEST family holiday we’ve ever been on and I hope we’ll be back again

Beginning with the seaplane flight and ending with the return seaplane flight…everything in between was beyond our expectations! Being greeted by Zayan , our butler , on arrival at the seaplane and personally escorted to our overwater villa.The room was beautiful, well appointed,very clean , lovely amenities and gorgeous uninterrupted view. As other reviews have mentioned , the personal attentiveness by all the staff is overwhelming and greatly appreciated. We had yoga classes every morning over the water , snorkeling every day from our villa and of the beaches. Kayaking anytime you wish and up close and personal with a few local turtles who feel safe in the resort areas…..we have been to many island resorts but none have had turtles so close and friendly. There is a huge amount of marine life around the resort although some coral has died off in areas due to the increase of water temperatures , this did not affect our experience. All meals were absolutely delicious, especially the Japanese Restaurant which we had dinner many times…. Sunset drinks are a must… Zayan made our stay enjoyable and effortless , but also not forgetting our waiters for breakfast and dinner , our yoga instructor , your personal life guard from Nepal watching over you as you swim out on the reef , our lovely hostess on our Romantic Beach Dinner from Bhutan….we were blown away by the diversity of countries and cultures that the Como Malafushi employ.

This resort was incredible and my trip to the Maldives was the best week of my life!! I went during the last week of September and first part of October so there were some rainy and cloudy days but plenty of sunshine and calm days as well. When I was stuck inside because of the rain, they sent us hot chocolate and popcorn to our room to have a movie day. When I got a sunburn, they delivered fresh aloe Vera from their garden. They think of everything!! All of the staff were so kind and accommodating. Zulal was our main server for breakfast and dinner and always had the best recommendations and was so kind and helpful! Our butler Anas was amazing and replied to us in minutes for every question and request we had. Managers and staff came by our tables at every meal to check if our stay was going well. The food was incredible, the activities were amazing, overwater villa was private and perfect, room was extremely clean and beautiful, the island was so well kept. I will definitely be back here and can’t recommend it enough!!!

Just returned from a friends trip to Como Maalifushi and it was perfect from beginning to end. This was my first seaplane ride and it was very smooth. I didn't even feel the take-off, and seeing all the atolls below added to the vacation's uniqueness. The Manta Ray lounge in Male was nice, quiet and comfortable - great place to re-set after long day of travel. The Como staff at the airport had everything covered and it was a service preview of the resort. The resort matches all photos. Secluded, boutique, and well maintained. The staff quickly gets to know your food & beverage preferences as everyone pays attention to the details. You can bike or walk to everything. I preferred the walk as it allowed you to hear the birds ad enjoy being under the lush tree canopy. Also - there were NO bugs! Seriously... how is that possible? Como has found a way! Our only downside was weather... it was stormy for a couple days, but it just led to more spa treatments which is never a bad thing. Speaking of the spa - Kadek is amazing! Also enjoyed one of the morning yoga classes which was a great way to start the day. Breakfast is another upside. There is a buffet, but you can also choose off the menu. Ricotta pancakes were my fav. I suggest packing water socks / shoes as there is coral in the water and broken coral / shell pieces on the main beach. Side beaches offer better water access in my opinion. Opted to paddle board instead of snorkel - amazing experience during one of the calmer days. If you are looking to relax, spa, sleep & repeat this is your destination.
